This hand drawing assignment was for practicing our drawing skills and telling a narrative about our day-to-day lives. We were to reflect on our new “normals” created by the pandemic by observing, documenting, and analyzing our new habits. My assignment reflects my first year of university living in a ‘pod’ (individual bedrooms that share a bathroom and common space) during the pandemic. With so many restric- tions and the stress of beginning university, I spent most of my time in my pod, only leaving to pick-up food from the cafeteria. These drawings reflect the limited movement and isolation I felt during this time.
